Universal AGC/SMETER kit module. It is the ideal complement for many homemade receivers that do not have AGC or S-Meter. 

The U-AGC/SMETER picks up audio signal from the volume potentiometer and attenuates the RX signal input from the antenna.

If the audio signal increases, the attenuation also increases. It is achieved that strong signals decrease and do not cause sudden changes in reception. The reception is much more comfortable and pleasant. The fact of attenuating the input from the antenna prevents strong stations from saturating the receiver's input.  At the same time, the circuit generates a voltage level proportional to the received audio to drive a received signal meter (S-Meter) on a panel meter or to analog input of a microcontroller (panel S-Meter no included).
